Israeli forces launch widespread attacks across Syria

The Israeli occupation launched a series of aggressive airstrikes on Wednesday, targeting key locations in Damascus, Homs, and Hama, including a research center and multiple military sites, in a fresh escalation against Syria.
An Israeli strike targeted the Scientific Research Center in the Barzeh housing area of the Syrian capital, resulting in multiple injuries, according to medical sources. The attack caused significant damage, with emergency teams rushing to the scene to treat the wounded.
In central Syria, the Israeli military targeted the Hama Air Base, striking its infrastructure and weapons depots while drones continued to patrol the skies. Local sources reported that ambulances rushed to the airport following the bombardment, with multiple casualties, including martyrs and wounded. Witnesses described more than 15 airstrikes, leaving the base nearly destroyed and crippling military aircraft stationed there. Vehicles near the airport and military positions along the Misyaf-Hama road were also hit.
Loud explosions rocked the Homs countryside as Israeli warplanes targeted the T4 military airport. Israeli Channel 12 confirmed the site was among those struck in the latest wave of aggression.
As airstrikes pounded central Syria, Israeli forces launched a ground incursion in western Daraa. Armored vehicles moved into the Jabaliya Dam forest, while Israeli artillery intensified its shelling of Tal Jumu, a strategic location between the town of Nawa and the village of Tsil. The attacks targeted forested areas around Tsil Dam, adding to the destruction.
In the early hours of Thursday, Israeli troops attempted an advance near the city of Nawa in Daraa governorate. Armed locals resisted the incursion, engaging in clashes to repel the attack. According to Syrian media, at least 10 civilians were martyred in an Israeli strike on Horsh al-Jibayleh in western Daraa, with another 10 injured and transported to Nawa Hospital.
As the Israeli aggression intensified, mosques in Nawa called for a general mobilization to confront the invasion. Israeli helicopters heavily patrolled the area’s airspace as tensions escalated further.
The latest Israeli assaults mark a dangerous escalation in the region, with widespread destruction of Syrian military infrastructure and an increasing civilian toll. The continued aggression threatens to further destabilize Syria, already grappling with humanitarian and security crises. (ILKHA)
