Israeli forces storm mosque, detain civilians in Nablus raids

Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of pre-dawn raids on Tuesday across several neighborhoods in the city of Nablus and the nearby village of Tal, intensifying their ongoing military campaign in the region.
According to local sources, heavily armed Israeli units stormed residential areas in Nablus, including the Nablus al-Jadidah neighborhood, where they raided a home and detained an individual whose identity has not been disclosed. Simultaneously, forces entered the village of Tal, located southwest of the city, where they forcibly evacuated worshippers from a mosque before ransacking its interior.
The assault comes amid an escalating military operation targeting the Askar al-Jadid refugee camp, situated to the east of Nablus. The operation, which began at dawn on Monday, has seen Israeli troops raid dozens of homes in the camp, subjecting residents to violent searches and physical assaults. Several individuals have been hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the raids.
Local accounts also confirm that Israeli forces have converted multiple residential properties within the camp into makeshift military posts. Dozens of civilians have been detained and subjected to field interrogations inside their homes.
A complete curfew has been imposed on the Askar al-Jadid camp, with all entrances sealed off and movement in or out strictly prohibited.
The aggressive military campaign has drawn condemnation from local and international observers who view the tactics—such as home invasions, curfews, and attacks on places of worship—as part of a broader pattern of collective punishment and violations of international law. (ILKHA)
