Israeli occupation escalates deadly attacks on displaced civilians across Gaza

The Israeli occupation intensified its attacks on the Gaza Strip on Friday, striking civilian areas and camps sheltering displaced persons in multiple locations. The latest assaults have killed and injured dozens, deepening fears of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
According to medical sources, an Israeli airstrike targeted tents housing displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing four people and injuring several others. In a separate incident near the Morag Axis south of the city, Israeli fire killed two people and wounded more than 70 Palestinians who had gathered to receive aid.
In the Ard al-Fara area south of Khan Younis, three civilians—including a child and a woman—were killed when tents for displaced persons came under attack.
Further north, a drone strike on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza killed four people and injured others, as “Israel” continues to target areas hosting displaced populations.
Israeli warplanes also carried out heavy airstrikes on Gaza City. Local sources reported that an airstrike struck near the Islamic Complex in the Sabra neighborhood, while another targeted a building in the Rimal neighborhood near the Passport Office, causing deaths and injuries. The Sheikh Radwan Cemetery, located northwest of the city, was also bombed, leaving several people wounded.
Artillery shelling further pounded the eastern parts of Gaza City, exacerbating destruction in neighborhoods already devastated by months of bombardment.
Amid the escalating attacks, the Government Media Office in Gaza accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately creating chaos and starvation. It said 104 aid trucks entered Gaza on Thursday but were systematically looted under the direct supervision of occupation forces.
The office stressed that Gaza needs at least 600 aid trucks daily to meet the basic needs of its 2.4 million residents, including 1.1 million children deprived of food and infant formula.
Calling the current situation a “double crime,” the media office urged the immediate and complete opening of all border crossings. It demanded that humanitarian aid be delivered under independent United Nations supervision to ensure fair and unrestricted access to those in need. (ILKHA)
