Israeli occupation forces protect settlers as systematic attacks on Palestinian homes and farmland escalate, leaving families in fear and threatening livelihoods across Yatta and southern Hebron.

In a new escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank, armed Israeli settlers set fire to three Palestinian tents in Wadi al-Jawaya, southern Yatta, Hebron, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. The tents, belonging to Palestinian brothers Musa and Isa Hassan Shawahin and Isa Mohammed Shawahin, were empty at the time, yet the attack caused widespread fear and anxiety among local families.

Fuad al-Amur, a local anti-settlement activist, stated that these assaults are part of a systematic campaign by Zionist settlers to eradicate Palestinian presence in the area. “Armed settlers operate under the protection of the occupation forces, aiming to erase Palestinian homes and livelihoods,” al-Amur said.

The settlers also deliberately damaged farmland, breaking trees and destroying crops, further threatening the survival of Palestinian communities in Yatta. Human rights organizations have condemned the attacks, describing them as part of an organized policy of forced displacement designed to push Palestinians off their ancestral lands.

Recent weeks have seen a noticeable surge in settler violence in Yatta and surrounding areas, signaling a worsening climate of terror and intimidation for Palestinian civilians.
