Israeli strikes kill 43 more civilians in Gaza as people die of starvation

The Israeli occupation’s relentless assault on the Gaza Strip continued on Monday, claiming the lives of at least 43 Palestinians in a single day, according to medical sources.
Among the dead were eight civilians killed while waiting for desperately needed humanitarian aid.
The tragedy deepened further as infant Mohammed Ibrahim Adas died of severe malnutrition at Al-Shifa Hospital due to the acute shortage of baby formula—another victim of the ongoing blockade.
Adas’s death raises the total number of starvation and malnutrition fatalities in Gaza to 134, including 88 children. Medical officials warn that this figure could rise sharply if the blockade remains in place and aid continues to be restricted.
The Israeli-imposed siege, now in its 22nd month, has left Gaza’s 2.3 million residents facing catastrophic shortages of food, medicine, and fuel. Humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned that children are bearing the heaviest burden of the starvation crisis.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 59,821 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, and injured 144,851 others. Hundreds more remain buried under rubble or stranded in areas unreachable to rescue teams due to ongoing bombardment.
Local authorities and humanitarian organizations are pleading for immediate international intervention, urging the lifting of the blockade, the opening of all crossings, and the safe delivery of food and medical supplies.
With the death toll rising daily from both bombings and famine, Gaza faces what health officials describe as “an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe created by deliberate siege and war.” (ILKHA)
