Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has accused zionist authorities of intentionally assassinating Khader Adnan, a prisoner who died after being on an 86-day hunger strike in protest against his detention without charge.
Shtayyeh noted that the zionist occupation regime refused Adnan's request for release, neglected his medical condition, and kept him in his cell despite his deteriorating health.
Adnan, a father of nine, had been arrested 12 times before and had gone on hunger strike in previous detentions.
The Israel prisons said Adnan was found unconscious in his cell and was pronounced dead after being transferred to a hospital.
A general strike has been called in the occupied territories in response to Adnan's death. (ILKHA)
