Pezeshkian: Iran will not surrender its right to peaceful nuclear energy

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian denounced the Israeli regime’s ongoing attacks, including the assassinations of Iranian commanders, scientists, and civilians, labeling them as acts of terror and psychological warfare.
Speaking during a session to review the credentials of Ali Madanizadeh, nominee for Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Pezeshkian called for national unity to counter Israel’s aggression.
“The enemy cannot drive us or our nation off the stage through killing, assassination, or intimidation,” Pezeshkian declared, emphasizing Iran’s resilience. “For every hero whose flag falls, hundreds more will rise.” He urged Iranians to set aside internal differences and unite against what he described as a brutal campaign by the “Zionist entity.”
Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s commitment to a peaceful nuclear program, firmly rejecting any pursuit of nuclear weapons in line with Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s religious edict banning weapons of mass destruction. “Our pursuit of nuclear energy is rooted in science and sovereignty, not conflict,” he said, defending Iran’s right to nuclear research while condemning external efforts to stifle its scientific progress.
The president sharply criticized the United States for enabling Israel’s violations of international norms through continued support. He highlighted the assassinations of Iranian scientists, questioning, “What crime had our scientists committed to be targeted and murdered in such a brutal manner?” Pezeshkian emphasized that these individuals were engaged in peaceful research to bolster national resilience.
Pezeshkian pledged enhanced government support for healthcare, medicine, and livelihoods, invoking the spirit of community mobilization seen during past wars. “Just like during the war, when every mosque and neighborhood became a base, today we must mobilize to solve the people’s problems,” he said.
He also called for Islamic unity to counter Israel’s aggression, accusing the regime of seeking to divide and weaken Muslim nations. “We have extended brotherhood to all Islamic nations, and we mean it,” he stated. Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s Senate for passing a resolution supporting Iran, viewing it as a powerful gesture of solidarity against Zionist oppression.
The president’s speech underscored Iran’s resolve to resist external pressures while fostering unity at home and across the Islamic world. (ILKHA)
