Russia announced on Thursday that its air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 83 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions.
According to the Defense Ministry, the largest number of drones, 37 in total, were shot down over the Bryansk region, while 12 were intercepted over the Kursk and Lipetsk regions.
Additionally, nine drones were downed in the Tver region, and three each were destroyed over the Belgorod, Kaluga, Smolensk, and Voronezh regions. One drone was also intercepted over the Rostov region.
Despite confirming the interceptions, the ministry did not provide any details regarding potential damage or casualties. Meanwhile, Kyiv has not issued a statement in response to Russia’s claims.
