Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held a meeting with Dmitry Zhirnov, the Russian ambassador to Afghanistan.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the forthcoming Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan, as stated in a press release issued by the Ministry.

During the meeting, Ambassador Zhirnov provided Foreign Minister Muttaqi with comprehensive information regarding the upcoming Moscow format meeting. Subsequently, the Russian ambassador extended an invitation to Minister Muttaqi, inviting him to participate in the meeting on Afghanistan.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Foreign Minister Muttaqi acknowledged the crucial role played by the Moscow format in fostering coordination among different regions. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the meeting to its fullest potential within the framework of diplomatic relations between Kabul and Moscow.
