The number of deaths from coronavirus rises to 97,696 in the United States

At least 1, 307 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United States death toll from the virus to 97,696, according to Johns Hopkins University.
1,668,283 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 3,118 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Until now, about 403,312 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
About 14 million tests were performed to detect coronavirus infections in the country.
The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by the United Kingdom with 36,393 deaths, Italy with 32,616 deaths and France with 28,628 deaths.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 367,936 confirmed cases, with at least 29,009 deaths.
