Tulkarm under fire: Israeli forces raze homes in brutal 23-day onslaught

Israeli occupation forces have commenced the demolition of homes in Tulkarm refugee camp, marking the 23rd day of continuous aggression against this beleaguered Palestinian community.
The occupation authorities have issued demolition notices for at least 14 homes, falsely justifying these actions under the guise of creating a new street through the heart of the camp, stretching from the Agency area to the Balawneh neighborhood. However, this is merely a facade for the systematic destruction of Palestinian life and property.
According to field observations and official reports from the Tulkarm governor, the devastation is extensive. At least 22 homes have been completely razed to the ground, with an additional 300 homes suffering partial damage. Eleven homes have been set ablaze, displacing approximately 10,450 residents who are now homeless, victims of an ongoing ethnic cleansing operation.
The infrastructure of the camp has not been spared; the Israeli forces have deliberately targeted and destroyed essential services including water, electricity, sewage, and communications networks, effectively crippling the camp's ability to sustain life.
Abdullah Kamil, the Tulkarm governor, has issued a fervent plea to the international community, urging human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene and exert pressure on the Israeli occupation to cease what he describes as a "crime and massacre" against the residents of Tulkarm. Governor Kamil condemned these acts as flagrant violations of international humanitarian law and all international covenants and norms, highlighting the urgent need for global action to protect Palestinian civilians from such atrocities.
This relentless assault on Tulkarm camp is not just an attack on buildings but an assault on the very fabric of Palestinian existence, a clear manifestation of an ongoing policy of occupation, displacement, and oppression. (ILKHA)
