U.K. Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab resigns amid bullying scandal
On Friday, Dominic Raab, the deputy prime minister of the UK, resigned following an investigation that found he had bullied subordinates.
The investigation, carried out by an independent barrister, examined eight cases where civil servants accused Raab of mistreating them during his time as foreign secretary and justice secretary.
The report found that Raab had acted in an "intimidating" and "aggressive" manner in work meetings and had also abused his power to undermine or humiliate others.
While Raab denied the allegations, the report's findings ultimately led to his resignation.
The scandal is the latest to plague the Conservative government led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has been trying to overcome a legacy of scandal in his administration.. (ILKHA)
