Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi announced intensified operations by Yemeni forces in response to ongoing hostilities affecting Gaza and Lebanon, asserting that the actions will persist until aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
Al-Houthi detailed recent Yemeni operations targeting maritime assets in the Indian Ocean and east of the island of Socotra. This week alone, Yemeni forces reportedly launched 13 ballistic and winged missiles along with a drone, targeting ships linked to Israeli, American, and British interests. Since the start of these support operations nearly a year ago, 202 ships have been targeted, which Al-Houthi described as a “significant achievement.”
“For the first time, Israeli interests have been targeted in this way in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb Strait over an extended period,” Al-Houthi stated, underscoring the persistence of missile and drone strikes against Israeli targets in occupied Palestine.
Al-Houthi highlighted American discontent over Yemeni operations and the U.S. forces’ inability to fully secure Israeli navigation in the region. He claimed that despite frequent U.S. airstrikes and mounting political and economic pressures aimed at curbing these actions, Yemeni forces remain resolute in their support for Palestine.
Al-Houthi also accused the U.S. of seeking further involvement from Saudi Arabia and the UAE in what he characterized as a proxy battle to protect Israeli interests. He warned that further Saudi and UAE participation in Yemen could lead to severe consequences without achieving desired objectives.
Reflecting on America’s struggle to counter Yemeni operations, Al-Houthi concluded, “If the U.S., with all its resources, cannot halt our operations for Palestine, other nations and forces will be equally ineffective.” (ILKHA)
