Yemeni forces successfully target U.S. aircraft carrier twice in 24 hours

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced on Monday that they had successfully targeted the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman for the second time within 24 hours.
In a statement, YAF spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed that the strike in the northern Red Sea involved a coordinated attack using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, in an engagement that lasted several hours. The attack came in response to continued U.S. hostility and complicity in the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
Saree revealed that the YAF had successfully disrupted a planned assault by U.S. forces, preventing the enemy ship from launching attacks against Yemen. He reaffirmed that Yemen will continue its operations against Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea and surrounding waters until the siege on Gaza is lifted.
The statement echoed recent remarks by Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, who warned that any continued U.S. aggression would be met with a "broad and comprehensive response." He vowed that Yemen will not stand idle in the face of American and Israeli crimes.
As the U.S. military faced a decisive Yemeni response at sea, it lashed out with airstrikes against civilian infrastructure, targeting a cotton gin in the Zabeid district of al-Hodeidah Governorate in western Yemen. The attacks were a clear act of desperation following the Yemeni forces' successful operations.
In a televised speech on Sunday, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi denounced the U.S. airstrikes as "brutal and unjust aggression", emphasizing that Washington’s primary goal is to provide direct support to the Zionist regime in its genocidal war on Gaza. He stated, "The American enemy has launched a new attack on our country. This is a blatant and oppressive act of aggression, and we will not remain silent."
This latest escalation follows Yemen’s official declaration of military action against all Israeli-linked ships in designated waters. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to defend their sovereignty and stand in solidarity with Palestine, ensuring that their operations continue until justice is served and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
With the resilience of the Yemeni forces growing stronger, it is clear that Washington’s attempts to intimidate Yemen have failed, and the people of Yemen remain steadfast in their commitment to resisting oppression. (ILKHA)
