Zelensky to meet Biden and GOP leaders on critical Ukraine aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with President Joe Biden and Republican leaders in Washington to seek additional financial support for Ukraine's fight against Russia.
The visit comes amid warnings that aid for Ukraine will run out in the coming weeks. Zelensky will engage with Biden to discuss Ukraine's pressing needs in countering the Russian invasion and emphasize the crucial importance of continued U.S. support.
Republican Speaker for the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, who has linked Ukraine aid to U.S. border security funding, will also meet with Zelensky. The meeting will address key issues such as collaborative projects on weapon production and air defense systems.
Last week, Republican senators blocked $106 billion in emergency aid primarily for Ukraine and Israel, citing the exclusion of immigration reforms they had demanded. The setback for Biden underscores the urgency of securing additional support to counter Russian aggression. (ILKHA)
