Millions in Yemen rally for Gaza: "We defeated America, we will defeat Israel"

Millions of Yemenis flooded the streets of the capital Sanaa and public squares in 14 governorates on Friday, reaffirming their steadfast support for the Palestinian people and resistance movements in Gaza.
The mass rallies, held under the banner “In Support of Gaza: By God’s Power, We Defeated America and Will Defeat Israel,” sent a resounding message of defiance to the United States and the Israeli occupation.
The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of Palestinian resistance factions, celebrated recent military achievements by the Yemeni Armed Forces, and raised Palestinian and Yemeni flags side by side. Placards bearing anti-American and anti-Zionist slogans filled the streets, as participants thanked God for what they described as “the collapse of American arrogance and the downfall of its regional hegemony.”
A central statement issued at the rallies hailed what organizers called a historic moment: the United States’ failure to achieve its objectives in Yemen and its subsequent halt of aggression. The statement declared:
“The American enemy has announced the end of its aggression against our country without achieving any of its objectives, and it has abandoned the protection of Zionist ships.”
The statement congratulated Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the Yemeni armed forces, and “all the free peoples of the world” on the strategic defeat of the American campaign, framing it as a turning point in regional resistance.
Organizers reiterated Yemen’s unconditional and continuous support for Gaza, praising the Palestinian resistance as “a beacon of courage” and vowing to back them without hesitation.
The rallies also applauded the Yemeni Armed Forces for what they called successful and precise operations, including the recent missile strike on Lod Airport in occupied Palestine, describing it as “a blow to Israeli security illusions.” Demonstrators vowed that Yemen will continue confronting Israel with "unshakable determination and escalating capabilities."
The statement expressed full readiness to confront any future American aggression, emphasizing Yemen’s ongoing development of its military arsenal and “absolute trust in Allah for eventual victory.”
In a pointed message to the wider region, the statement criticized Arab and Islamic regimes that have remained silent or complicit in the face of Israel’s ongoing war crimes in Gaza. In contrast, it praised the role of Oman, commending its efforts to promote peace and defuse regional tensions.
Friday’s rallies mark one of the largest nationwide mobilizations in Yemen since the escalation of Israeli aggression on Gaza in October 2023. Analysts say the turnout reflects both deep popular anger at the unfolding genocide in Gaza and renewed confidence in Yemen’s resistance axis following recent military and political victories.
