Turkish confidence index sees positive growth across sectors in January

The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported an encouraging increase in confidence levels across the services, retail trade, and construction sectors for January, reflecting improved economic sentiment compared to the previous month.
In the services sector, the confidence index saw a rise of 2.5%, reaching a notable 116.5. This growth highlights the sustained optimism within the sector, which continues to perform robustly above the 100-mark, indicating positive expectations for business conditions.
Similarly, the retail trade sector experienced a 1.4% increase, bringing its confidence index to 114.5. This steady growth underscores the resilience of consumer-driven activities and the favorable outlook among retailers as they adapt to evolving market dynamics.
The construction sector, traditionally more volatile, recorded the highest growth rate among the three, with a 2.6% increase, pushing its index to 91.7. While still below the baseline of 100, this upward trend signals gradual recovery and renewed optimism within the industry.
Overall, the latest figures from the Turkish Statistical Institute paint a promising picture of the economy, with improved sentiment across key sectors suggesting a positive trajectory for the months ahead. (ILKHA)
