HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu used the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to call for greater unity among Muslims, highlighting the ongoing suffering in Gaza and attributing it to the disunity within the Islamic world.

Yapıcıoğlu, celebrating Eid in his hometown of Batman, performed the Eid prayer at Mehmet Emin Terece Mosque, accompanied by Batman Member of Parliament Serkan Ramanlı and other party officials. Following the prayer, he addressed the media, expressing Eid greetings while emphasizing the somber reality facing many Muslims.

"Eid is a day when unity, brotherhood, and solidarity are strengthened," Yapıcıoğlu stated, acknowledging the "bittersweet joy" felt due to the "genocide in Gaza." He lamented the fact that many Muslims in war-torn regions lack even mosques to pray in, highlighting the stark contrast between those celebrating and those enduring conflict.

Yapıcıoğlu directly attributed the ongoing violence in Gaza to the lack of unity among Islamic nations. "Perhaps the main reason for the pain and destruction in Palestine is our lack of unity," he said. "The Zionists carry out massacres every day not because they are powerful, but because we, as the Islamic Ummah, have failed to unite." He further pointed out that while Western powers support Israel, the disorganization within the Muslim world is a significant advantage for them.

He urged Muslims worldwide to rekindle a sense of brotherhood and solidarity with the people of Gaza, quoting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): "He who does not worry about his fellow believer is not one of us." He praised the unwavering faith of the Gazan people, who continue to rely on Allah despite facing immense hardship.

"May Allah accept the prayers of our brothers and sisters who suffer under oppression, especially in Gaza. And may He grant us the power and opportunity to be their helpers, in word and in deed," Yapıcıoğlu concluded.

After his remarks, Yapıcıoğlu departed the mosque to spend the remainder of Eid with his family.

His message underscored a call for continued support for Gaza, blending the joy of the holiday with a sobering reflection on the challenges facing the Muslim world. (ILKHA)
