Türkiye’s cereal and pulses exports surpass $10 Billion in 2025
Türkiye’s exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds, and related products reached $10.135 billion in the first ten months of the year, marking a 4.3% increase despite a decline in export volume.
According to data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the sector exported 9.565 million tons of products to 219 countries and free zones between January and October. While the total export volume decreased by 5.3%, overall export income rose, reflecting strong global demand and rising commodity prices.
Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, Chairman of the TİM Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Sector Board, emphasized that geopolitical risks and climate conditions continue to play a defining role in global food markets.
He noted that Türkiye’s strategic importance in international grain trade has grown significantly since the Russia-Ukraine war, which disrupted global supply chains and reshaped trade routes. “Through international initiatives and proactive engagement, we have been able to capitalize swiftly on emerging opportunities,” Tiryakioğlu said.
Sector representatives highlight that Türkiye’s expanding role in agricultural exports not only strengthens its position as a regional food hub but also contributes to global food security amid ongoing geopolitical and climate-related challenges. (ILKHA)
