Russia ready to expand health cooperation with Afghanistan, minister says
Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, held talks with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Albertovich Murashko, during an official visit, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
The discussions covered long-term cooperation to strengthen Afghanistan’s healthcare system, build institutional capacity and improve access to medicines, vaccines and medical equipment.
The two officials also explored avenues for collaboration on the import of medical supplies as part of broader efforts to develop Afghanistan’s public health sector.
Murashko affirmed Russia’s readiness to expand technical cooperation with Afghanistan in the field of health, according to information provided on the meeting.
The talks reflect ongoing efforts by Kabul and Moscow to strengthen bilateral ties and explore practical cooperation in key sectors, including healthcare. (ILKHA)
