Adana stands with Palestine, condemns US-backed Israeli atrocities in Gaza

The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation held a rally in Adana to protest the ongoing massacres in Gaza and draw attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
HÜDA PAR Adana Provincial Chairman Fethullah Beyazçiçek was present at the rally, which saw participation from hundreds of supporters.
The event drew thousands of attendees, from local residents to political figures, community leaders, and activists, all unified in their call to end the violence and injustice being inflicted on the people of Gaza.
The rally was one of the most significant public demonstrations in the region in recent months, resonating with a growing global movement of citizens demanding justice for Palestine and an end to the systematic oppression and collective punishment of its people.
The event opened with a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Qur’an, setting a spiritual tone and reminding the attendees of the moral and religious duty to speak out against injustice. The atmosphere was solemn yet spirited, as people held placards bearing messages such as “Stop the Genocide in Gaza,” “Jerusalem Belongs to the Ummah,” and “Boycott the Occupation.”
Among the attendees was HÜDA PAR Adana Provincial Chairman Fethullah Beyazçiçek, who emphasized the importance of public awareness and international pressure in halting the atrocities occurring in Gaza. His presence underscored the rally’s broader political and humanitarian significance, as well as the urgency of the issue in Türkiye’s public discourse.
Orhan Erkuş, one of the regional coordinators of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, delivered a moving and impassioned speech that served as the centerpiece of the event. In his press statement, Erkuş did not mince words, strongly condemning the Israeli regime’s attacks on innocent civilians, particularly the recent airstrikes on tent encampments housing displaced families during the early morning hours of sahur—the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan.
“A horrific massacre took place,” Erkuş declared. “More than 300 babies, children, women, and our defenseless brothers and sisters were buried in the black bosom of the earth. The world’s silence is deafening. Consciences have become flames. The sighs of the oppressed have reached the heavens.”
He went on to accuse the Zionist regime of deliberately targeting civilians and ignoring all international norms and values. “Neither laws, nor treaties, nor basic human decency remain in the face of this brutality. The Zionist occupiers, backed by the cruel and pirate-like USA, have once again drenched the soil of Gaza in blood,” he said.
Erkuş also spoke out against Western countries and international bodies, accusing them of turning a blind eye to the suffering in Gaza. “Where are those who lecture the world about human rights, children’s rights, and the sanctity of civilian life?” he asked. “They remain silent as the blood of innocents is spilled. Their silence is complicity. Their hypocrisy is clear.”
In a powerful segment of his speech, Erkuş praised the resilience and unbreakable spirit of the people of Gaza. “They have been deprived of food, water, medical care, and shelter. They are being starved, bombed, and isolated. And yet, their faith stands like a mountain. They have not wavered. They have not surrendered. They are resisting the Pharaohs and Nimrods of the modern age with courage and dignity.”
He described the resistance of Gaza as not merely military or political, but deeply spiritual and moral. “This is not just a political conflict. It is a battle between truth and falsehood, between justice and tyranny. The steel will of Gaza’s people will be victorious, God willing. This victory will be the victory of faith, of resilience, and of the human spirit.”
Concrete Demands for Global Action
During the rally, the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation articulated a series of specific demands, calling for immediate international action to address the crisis in Gaza. These demands included the enforcement of a permanent ceasefire and cessation of Israeli military aggression, the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, particularly during Ramadan, and support for Palestinian resistance, including the recognition of Hamas's peace and sovereignty conditions. The Foundation also emphasized the need for legal accountability for Israeli officials and soldiers implicated in war crimes, advocating for legislation in Türkiye to revoke the citizenship of those involved in genocide and to ensure they are brought to justice under Turkish law. Additionally, they called for the strengthening of the global BDS movement to exert economic and diplomatic pressure on Israel, and urged the international community to recognize the Palestinian state and support initiatives aimed at ending the occupation and rebuilding Gaza.
“We are calling on all states, peoples, and leaders of conscience,” Erkuş said. “We must act now. We must raise our voices. We must stop this genocide before more lives are lost.”
He also called on citizens to maintain economic pressure through continued boycotts of companies and products that support or profit from the occupation. “Every coin spent on these companies contributes to the bombs dropped on Gaza. Every act of boycott is a stand for justice.”
The event concluded with an emotional prayer led by Mullah Ekrem Derdiyok, a respected member of ITTIHADUL ULEMA. With hands raised to the sky and tears in many eyes, the crowd prayed for the protection of Gaza’s people, the liberation of Jerusalem, and divine justice for the oppressed.
The rally in Adana is part of a larger movement of growing civil activism across Türkiye and the Muslim world, with people demanding more than symbolic gestures from their leaders. From public demonstrations to charity drives, boycotts to political lobbying, a grassroots call for justice is echoing across borders.
As the suffering in Gaza continues, events like the one in Adana remind the world that the cries of the oppressed are not falling on deaf ears—and that solidarity, in all its forms, is a force that can transcend borders, beliefs, and politics. (ILKHA)
