Adana stands with Palestine: Thousands demand end to Israel's genocide

As bombs continue to rain on the besieged people of Gaza, voices of defiance echoed from the heart of Adana, where thousands gathered in front of the US Consulate in a mass demonstration against the genocidal aggression carried out by Israeli regime and its chief enabler, the United States.
The protest, called in response to the general mobilization declared by the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, became a thunderous outcry of conscience and solidarity for the Palestinian people, who for more than six months have endured one of the most brutal and systematic campaigns of annihilation in modern history.
Organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), and the Adana Civil Initiative Assembly (ASIM), and supported by the HÜDA PAR Provincial Presidency, the protest was a clear message to occupiers and collaborators alike: The Ummah is not dead—and it is watching.
The event commenced with a moving recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Emrullah Sarman, reminding all in attendance that the struggle for Palestine is not merely political—it is moral, spiritual, and civilizational.
"We Are with Gaza, We Are with Hamas": Faith and Resistance Intertwined
In a stirring speech, Isa Emre, Adana Coordinator for the Prophet Loved Ones, invoked the legacy of Habib an-Najjar, a figure from the Qur’an who stood for truth even when his people rejected the message.
“Habib an-Najjar said, ‘I believe in your Lord, so listen to me.’ Today we echo his words. Let the Zionist occupiers hear us: We stand with HAMAS. We stand with Qassam Brigades, with Islamic Jihad, with the Al-Quds Brigades, with Yemen, and with Hezbollah. We are not with the passive observers; we are with those who resist with their blood, their bodies, their stones.”
Emre warned that the fragmentation of the Islamic world plays directly into the hands of the Zionist regime.
“We must bury our sectarian divisions, our party politics, our shallow rivalries. While we argue over labels, our brothers are butchered in their homes. While the Ummah is broken, they strike city after city. Gaza today, Damascus tomorrow, Baghdad the next day—and yes, even Adana.”
He also shattered the myth of Zionist invincibility: “For decades, they sold us an illusion—that Israel is all-seeing, all-knowing, invincible. But a handful of faithful men in Gaza stripped them of this mask. For five years, they couldn’t retrieve one of their soldiers, Gilad Shalit. Today, over 50 Zionist captives remain in the hands of the resistance. Their drones, their satellites, their spies—none can penetrate the will of God and the courage of believers. Israel is nothing more than a spider’s web. A paper tiger.”
“Close Incirlik, Shut Down Kürecik, Cut the Fuel to Israeli Warplanes”
Enes Beyaz, Adana Provincial President of the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), laid out a series of urgent and decisive measures that he argued must be implemented immediately to end Türkiye’s complicity in the ongoing Zionist-led genocide in Gaza. Foremost among these was the immediate nationalization and complete shutdown of the Incirlik Air Base, which remains under US control and serves as a strategic launchpad for operations across the region.
Beyaz also demanded the closure of the Kürecik radar base, a NATO facility that plays a critical role in supporting the Zionist regime’s missile defense systems. He further called for the identification, arrest, and prosecution of Zionist dual citizens who act as agents of foreign influence and betrayal within Turkish society. Perhaps most pressing, Beyaz emphasized, is the need to halt the flow of oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, which he condemned for fueling the very warplanes currently raining death upon the innocent people of Gaza.
“Is it not a disgrace,” Beyaz said, “that the fuel used by Zionist war machines is pumped from under our feet, while we boast about the profits? Shut the valves. Cut the lifeline. Choose the Ummah over dollars.”
“Genocide Must Never Become Normal”
Fethullah Beyazçiçek, Provincial Head of HÜDA PAR, delivered a piercing speech, condemning the normalization of genocide.
“Since October 7, not a day has passed without the Zionist regime spilling the blood of babies, children, mothers, and the elderly. It has become routine—one more massacre, one more flattened home. The Ummah risks becoming desensitized. But if we stop weeping, if we stop shouting, we have already lost.”
He criticized the passivity of Muslim leaders who issue hollow statements but fail to act.
“They behave like NGOs, not rulers. Press releases are not resistance. While fathers in Gaza carry the remains of their headless infants, you sit in palaces and speak of diplomacy. Do you not fear the Judgment? Do you not tremble when your screens show the carnage?”
A Call to Arms—Moral, Economic, and Political
Beyazçiçek concluded with a final appeal: “O leaders of the Islamic world, what more are you waiting for? The Ummah has done its part—donating, protesting, standing firm. Now it is your turn. If your armies will not move now, then when? If your weapons remain silent, then why do you even have them?”
He further warned against the illusion of security in partnerships with the United States and Zionist Israel.
“Today, you serve your interests, ignoring the cries of Gaza. But know this: America will betray you. Israel will discard you. And on that day, only the Ummah will remain—and you will have turned your back on it.”
The protest ended with a moving du‘a led by Mullah Ekrem Derdiyok, a member of ITTIHAD-UL ULEMA, calling upon Allah for strength, victory for the oppressed, and unity among the Muslims. (ILKHA)
