Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany on Tuesday.
The call addressed the Türkiye-Germany relations and regional matters, the Turkish presidency said in a statement.
Erdoğan expressed the special importance he attaches to the close dialogue between him and Chancellor Scholz for the strengthening of the bilateral relations in all areas.
Voicing his expectation from Germany to revert to its neutral stance on the Turkish-Greek relations, Erdoğan noted that the dialogue between Türkiye and the European Union, the talks on updating the Customs Union, and the accession negotiations should be revitalized.
Erdoğan and Chancellor Scholz also discussed the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war. (ILKHA)
