Erdoğan extends get-well wishes to UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in phone call
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, conveying his well wishes following reports of a recent health issue affecting the Emirati leader.
During the call, President Erdoğan expressed his deep sorrow upon learning of Al Nahyan’s condition and extended his wishes for a swift and full recovery. The Turkish president underscored the importance Türkiye places on the health and well-being of its partners and friends, emphasizing the strong ties between Ankara and Abu Dhabi.
In light of the health matter, President Erdoğan announced that he has decided to postpone his planned visit to the United Arab Emirates. He stated that the trip would be rescheduled for a later date, to be determined at the most convenient time for both sides.
The phone conversation reaffirmed the cordial relations between the two countries, which have seen growing cooperation in recent years across political, economic, and strategic fields. Both leaders have played a key role in advancing bilateral ties and strengthening dialogue between Ankara and Abu Dhabi.
