Erdoğan holds phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister

Turkish President Erdoğan congratulated Anwar Ibrahim on his coalition’s election victory and his appointment as Prime Minister, according to the Turkish presidency.
Erdoğan said that he believes the close cooperation between Türkiye and Malaysia will further strengthen on the basis of mutual confidence in the new era.
In the Malaysian general election on Saturday, Anwar's Pakatan Harapan coalition won a plurality of 82 seats out of 222, below the 112 seats needed for a majority.
