Erdoğan: Those responsible for Bolu disaster will face justice

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the nation following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex, emphasizing Türkiye’s commitment to holding those accountable for the tragic hotel fire in Bolu Kartalkaya.
He expressed condolences for those who perished and wished for a swift recovery for the injured. President Erdoğan announced that four individuals, including the facility's owner, have been detained. He emphasized, "Those who have any responsibility, any negligence, or any fault in the occurrence of such a disaster will be brought to justice at all costs." Administrative and legal investigations are already underway.
During his speech, President Erdoğan also discussed the recent visit from Syria's new administration, including its Foreign Minister, Defense Minister, and Director of Intelligence. He highlighted Türkiye's ongoing support for Syrians during the 14-year conflict, stating: "We never left alone or unprotected our Syrian brothers and sisters." He called for the lifting of Western sanctions to aid in Syria's recovery, noting, "Not only our Syrian brothers and sisters but also our entire region will benefit from the strengthening of Syria."
Addressing the ceasefire in Gaza, Erdoğan acknowledged Türkiye's role in facilitating this peace through multidimensional diplomacy, "We have provided the necessary support for the establishment of the ceasefire deal." He expressed joy over the temporary respite for Gazans, who he described as having paid "very high prices" yet not succumbing to oppression.
Erdoğan criticized Israel's history of ceasefire violations, advocating for continuous international pressure to ensure compliance. He committed to increasing Türkiye’s humanitarian aid, which has reached 100 thousand tons, especially before the Holy Ramadan, and to using the ceasefire period to work towards a lasting peace in the region.
