The Hope Caravan Association (Umut Kervanı Derneği) continues to support families facing financial hardship in Bursa through its social market project, providing food, household essentials and financial assistance to hundreds of families during August.

Through the initiative, families in need can visit the association’s social market and choose the food and household products they require directly from the shelves. The approach enables beneficiaries to determine their own needs while preserving their dignity by allowing them to shop in an environment similar to a regular market.

İsa Güvendik, president of Bursa Hope Caravan, announced that the association had restocked its social market and begun distributing monthly assistance to families in need.

“As Bursa Umut Kervanı, we have once again stocked the shelves of our social market for families in need this August,” Güvendik said. “Families can come and take whatever they need. They have the opportunity to obtain exactly what they require.”

He added that the association was continuing to provide both food packages and direct financial assistance to families as part of its regular aid efforts.

With the new school year approaching, the association has also begun preparations to provide stationery supplies to students from families in need.

Güvendik expressed gratitude to donors whose contributions have helped sustain the association’s aid programs and keep the social market stocked.

“We thank our generous donors who have continued to stand with us in our relief efforts and have played a major role in stocking the shelves,” he said.

Noting that schools will reopen in September, Güvendik appealed to donors to support the association’s upcoming stationery campaign.

“We will provide stationery assistance to students in need. We look forward to the support of benefactors for these stationery needs,” he said.

The association said it will continue its food, financial and educational assistance programs in an effort to reach more families and students facing economic hardship in Bursa. (ILKHA)
