Hope Caravan Foundation to deliver humanitarian aid to Sudan
The Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı) is preparing to dispatch a humanitarian aid convoy to Sudan on December 25, aiming to provide critical assistance to communities facing severe hardship amid the country’s deepening humanitarian crisis.
In a statement, Foundation President Cengiz Kurtaran said the mission is focused on reaching people struggling with extreme deprivation. “We are setting out for our brothers and sisters who are facing hunger, thirst, and famine, beyond even the need for shelter,” Kurtaran said, underscoring the urgency of the situation.
Calling on the public for support, Kurtaran appealed to philanthropists and humanitarian-minded individuals to contribute to the campaign. He said solidarity and timely assistance are vital for alleviating the suffering of those affected by ongoing conflict, displacement, and shortages of basic necessities in Sudan.
The aid convoy will carry a wide range of humanitarian supplies, including basic food items, clean drinking water, medical assistance, and materials to help meet urgent shelter needs. These supplies are intended to address immediate survival needs and ease the burden on families who have been displaced or left without access to essential services.
The Hope Caravan Foundation said the initiative aims to reach thousands of people across Sudan, where prolonged instability has pushed millions into food insecurity and limited access to healthcare and clean water. The foundation emphasized that continued international and community support is essential to sustaining humanitarian relief efforts and restoring hope to those affected by the crisis. (ILKHA)
