HÜDA PAR: Guarantor countries must ensure Israel abides by the Gaza ceasefire
HÜDA PAR MP Şahzade Demir calls on Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye to ensure Israeli regime complies with truce terms, warning that past agreements have been broken repeatedly.
Speaking during a parliamentary session on Thursday, Demir underlined that the ceasefire holds great humanitarian importance, especially for the reconstruction of Gaza and the delivery of much-needed aid to its besieged population.
“After more than two years of relentless genocide and massacres, the emergence of such an agreement is undoubtedly gratifying for all of us,” Demir said. “This agreement is crucial to halt the bloodshed, end the famine, and eliminate the Zionist occupation. Above all, it will enable the reconstruction of Gaza and the flow of humanitarian aid that our Palestinian brothers and sisters desperately need.”
He warned, however, that Israel has a long history of violating international agreements and breaking promises. “We all know the mentality of the Zionists,” Demir noted. “They have never remained faithful to any agreement in history. That is why the guarantor countries — Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt — must play a decisive role in enforcing this agreement, ensuring that Israel abides by its terms, and applying sanctions if it fails to do so.”
Demir extended his gratitude to the mediating and guarantor states for their efforts to broker the deal, saying, “The world owes much to Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt for their sincere contributions to achieving this ceasefire.”
Expressing HÜDA PAR’s full support for the agreement, Demir said, “We hope this ceasefire will truly succeed — that the genocide ends, humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, and reconstruction begins. Our wish is for the destroyed and devastated city of Gaza to rise again. As HÜDA PAR, we fully support this agreement and stress that it is of great importance for the entire ummah.”
During his speech, Demir also touched on other national issues such as digital gambling addiction, the textile industry crisis, family law regulations, and ongoing water shortages in Ankara, urging the state to take more effective steps in social, economic, and moral spheres. (ILKHA)
