HÜDA PAR: Islamic nations must unite against US-Israeli plans for Gaza

HÜDA PAR Deputy Chairman and Gaziantep MP Şahzade Demir held a press conference at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, where he addressed key issues on the political agenda, including the aftermath of the February 6, 2023 earthquakes and the situation in Gaza.
Demir opened with a solemn tribute to those lost in the catastrophic earthquakes of February 6, 2023, underscoring that the scars of that disaster still require healing. "Our commitment to earthquake preparedness must now be more resolute than ever," he declared, urging immediate action to safeguard against future calamities.
Turning to international affairs, Demir strongly criticized US President Donald Trump's proposal to deport Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, calling it an open admission of ethnic cleansing carried out by the United States and Israel.
"Trump has openly admitted that ethnic cleansing is being planned in Gaza by the US and the Israeli regime," Demir stated. While he acknowledged Jordan and Egypt’s firm stance against what he described as a "second Nakba plan", he expressed concern over the passive response of the Islamic world to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Demir emphasized the urgent need for a unified response from Muslim nations, stating that the Israeli occupation must be stopped through strong sanctions and direct intervention.
“The people of Gaza, who have refused to leave their homeland and have continued their resistance for over 15 months, will also thwart this latest plan of the Israeli occupation regime and its financier, the USA,” he declared. However, he insisted that Islamic nations must take decisive action against Western-led interventions in the region.
He called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to establish a strong alliance, urging regional countries to reject fear of Western sanctions and stand against imperialist powers.
Demir further praised the Palestinian resistance, arguing that their ability to defy advanced military capabilities for over 15 months has proven that the Zionist regime is not invincible. He urged regional countries to draw strength from Gaza’s struggle and form strategic alliances among themselves, rather than seeking cooperation with Western powers.
“The Aqsa Flood operation has once again demonstrated that the only way for the region to assert itself is not to normalize relations with the occupation regime, but to resist it,” he concluded.
Demir’s statements reflect growing discontent within Türkiye’s people over Western policies in the Middle East, particularly US support for Israel. His call for unity and action among Islamic nations underscores the urgent need for solidarity and decisive measures to address these pressing issues effectively. (ILKHA)
