HÜDA PAR urges Muslim nations to cut all ties with Israel

HÜDA PAR Spokesperson Yunus Emiroğlu delivered a strong message during the party’s weekly press briefing, addressing critical issues ranging from the ongoing genocide in Gaza to the anniversary of the Gallipoli Victory.
His remarks carried a sharp condemnation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, a call for decisive action from the Islamic world, and a broader reflection on national unity.
‘The Islamic World is Silent in the Face of Atrocities’
In his statement, Emiroğlu strongly condemned what he described as the continuation of Israeli aggression in Gaza, criticizing both the Israeli government and its Western allies for what he termed “a coordinated campaign of genocide.” He expressed deep concern over the recent escalation of violence, noting that "approximately 400 Palestinians, mostly children, were massacred in these attacks."
According to Emiroğlu, Israel’s decision to reject the latest ceasefire extension proposal, which was facilitated by the United States, signaled its intent to pursue an all-out assault against the Palestinian people. “The Zionist occupiers refused to move to the second phase of the ceasefire and instead, with full U.S. support, began a new wave of genocide in Gaza,” he stated.
Furthermore, he pointed out that Israel had expanded its military operations beyond Gaza, targeting Syria with airstrikes, while the United States simultaneously carried out military operations in Yemen. He argued that these actions were not isolated incidents but part of a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing the Islamic world. "These attacks show that the Zionist alliance is willing to commit any atrocity to subjugate the Islamic world and redraw the map of the Middle East according to its own interests," he declared.
Emiroğlu expressed disappointment with the lack of a strong response from the Muslim-majority nations, criticizing what he described as their "shameful silence and weakness." He warned that unless immediate steps were taken, the conflict could expand beyond Gaza and Syria, potentially dragging the entire region into prolonged instability.
HÜDA PAR Demands Economic and Diplomatic Boycott of Israel
In addition to verbal condemnation, Emiroğlu urged global action against Israel, calling for large-scale public protests and concrete steps from world governments. He emphasized that "mere statements of condemnation are no longer enough to stop this cruelty; concrete and effective measures must be implemented immediately."
He listed several steps that he believes should be taken to counter Israel’s actions:
-Severing all economic, military, and diplomatic ties with Israel – Emiroğlu insisted that Muslim-majority nations should immediately halt all forms of trade and cooperation with the Israeli government.
-Closing U.S. military bases in Muslim-majority countries – He argued that these bases serve as logistical support for Israeli operations and should not be tolerated any longer.
-Boycotting Israeli products globally – Emiroğlu urged Muslim communities around the world to cease purchasing Israeli goods and services, emphasizing that economic pressure was one of the most effective tools in resisting occupation.
Furthermore, he reiterated HÜDA PAR’s recent proposal in the Turkish Parliament, which seeks to prosecute dual citizens involved in war crimes against Palestinians. "Our law proposal, which calls for dual citizens participating in genocide to be tried in Turkish courts, must be put on the legislative agenda immediately," he said. He stressed that history would judge those who remain silent in the face of oppression, warning, "While the cries of the oppressed rise to the sky, those who ignore them will not escape accountability before history."
Ending this part of his speech, Emiroğlu urged the people of Türkiye and the broader Islamic world to take to the streets and demonstrate against Israeli actions, endorsing a call made by the Palestinian resistance movement, HAMAS. "We support the call of HAMAS for people of conscience to take to the streets and squares and raise their voices in the face of the genocide. In this blessed month of Ramadan, we ask our Lord for patience, perseverance, and an imminent victory."
Gallipoli Anniversary: A Call for National Unity and Reviving the Spirit of Resistance
Shifting to a domestic issue, Emiroğlu reflected on the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli Victory, emphasizing the importance of national unity and historical consciousness. He described the battle as a testament to the strength of the Turkish people and their ability to resist foreign aggression when united under a common cause.
"Çanakkale Victory is a victory won by Muslims of different ethnic origins uniting around the brotherhood of Islam, just like the Malazgirt Victory," he said. He highlighted that soldiers from diverse backgrounds—including Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Laz, Circassians, Bosnians, and Albanians—stood together against Western imperialist forces and achieved a monumental victory.
However, Emiroğlu lamented that Türkiye had drifted away from the unifying spirit of Gallipoli in the past century. He blamed previous governments for attempting to impose a "uniform identity" that disregarded the role of Islam in shaping the nation’s values and cohesion. "The one-party regime systematically targeted this spirit of unity, pushing Islam to the margins and attempting to impose an artificial, nationalist identity that alienated parts of our society," he argued.
He also criticized constitutional changes and military coups that, in his view, eroded the principles of unity and justice that once defined the nation. "The uniformism imposed through constitutional armor every ten years caused deep social divisions and weakened the brotherhood that had kept our nation together for centuries."
‘Türkiye’s Second Century Must Not Be a Lost Century’
Emiroğlu cautioned that Türkiye’s failure to uphold the values of Gallipoli had led to a "lost century," marked by political instability and internal discord. However, he insisted that the country still had an opportunity to reclaim its strength by reviving the spirit of Gallipoli.
"Türkiye's second century must not be allowed to become a lost century," he warned. "For this, it is essential to revive the spirit of Çanakkale and integrate it into our laws, education system, and state policies." He urged policymakers to take inspiration from the nation’s history and ensure that future generations are educated on the importance of unity and resistance against external pressures.
He concluded his speech with a call for national solidarity, emphasizing that the legacy of Gallipoli should be preserved not just through commemorations, but through action. "The spirit of Çanakkale is the key for our nation to rise again. It is the duty of all of us to reinforce our unity on the basis of justice and righteousness," he said.
Ending on a note of reverence, he honored the memory of the fallen soldiers of Gallipoli, stating: "On this occasion, we once again remember our Çanakkale martyrs with mercy and gratitude."
Emiroğlu’s statements covered a broad range of issues, from international conflicts to historical reflections and domestic concerns. His speech underscored HÜDA PAR’s position on the Gaza crisis, calling for immediate action against Israel, while also tying the importance of national unity to Türkiye’s historical victories. His remarks reflected a strong nationalist and Islamic perspective, advocating for both domestic reform and a more assertive stance in global politics. (ILKHA)
