ITTIHADUL ULEMA urges mass turnout for Mawlid al-Nabi in Diyarbakır
The Union of Scholars and Madrasahs (ITTIHADUL ULEMA) has thrown its full support behind the upcoming Mawlid al-Nabi celebration organized by the Prophet's Lovers Foundation, scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at 13:30 in Nevruz Park, Diyarbakır.
This year’s event, themed "Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad," aims to honor the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and promote his teachings.
At a press conference held at its headquarters, ITTIHADUL ULEMA invited the public to join the annual gathering, emphasizing its role in fostering love for the Prophet’s Sunnah. Mullah Remzi Uçar, a board member, delivered the statement, underscoring the event’s importance in strengthening the Muslim community’s connection to the Prophet.
“As ITTIHADUL ULEMA, we proudly support the Mawlid al-Nabi event in Nevruz Park and believe it is vital for helping the ummah live by the Prophet’s example,” Uçar said. He called for widespread participation, particularly from scholars and those devoted to the Prophet, adding: “We warmly invite all to attend this Sunday and engage with the message of our beloved Prophet.”
The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation’s Mawlid, held annually in April, is expected to draw thousands. The program will feature recitations, hymns, sermons, and reflections on the Prophet’s life. Organizers aim to inspire devotion and renew the prophetic spirit across society. (ILKHA)
