Prophet's Lovers calls on Muslims to embrace spiritual renewal during Three Sacred Months
Kenan Çaplık, Deputy Chairman of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı), has called on Muslims to make the most of the Three Sacred Months through increased worship, repentance, charity, and social solidarity.
In a statement released on the occasion of the Three Sacred Months and the Night of Raghaib (Regaib Kandili), Çaplık said the arrival of the month of Rajab marks the beginning of a spiritually significant season that continues through Sha‘ban and reaches its peak during Ramadan.
He noted that Ramadan not only includes the obligatory fast but also contains Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power, which the Qur’an describes as better than a thousand months. According to Çaplık, this period offers believers a profound opportunity for self-reflection, repentance, and spiritual purification, as well as a renewed commitment to the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
“We Have Entered the Spiritual Climate of the Three Sacred Months”
Emphasizing that acts of worship, charity, and supplication carry greater virtue during this time, Çaplık said Muslims once again experience the joy and excitement of entering a season rich in divine mercy and blessings.
“With the month of Rajab, we have entered the spiritual climate of the blessed Three Sacred Months,” he said, recalling the supplication of the Prophet Muhammad: “O Allah, bless for us the months of Rajab and Sha‘ban, and allow us to reach Ramadan.”
A Season of Purification and Repentance
Çaplık highlighted the importance of the Night of Raghaib, observed in the first week of Rajab, describing it as a means of purification and renewal for believers. He said the Three Sacred Months represent a season of repentance, mercy, abundance, and spiritual revival.
“Through fasting during the day, believers attain the grace and blessings of the nights,” he said, adding that heartfelt supplications made at dawn elevate the soul toward divine love. “These months are an open door of forgiveness for the faithful.”
Renewed Commitment to the Qur’an and the Sunnah
Calling for a stronger attachment to Islamic teachings, Çaplık urged Muslims to turn more toward the Qur’an and to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet as a safeguard against deviation and false paths.
He encouraged believers to increase good deeds, acts of solidarity, visits to relatives, voluntary prayers, fasting, and charitable giving, while also paying greater attention to the elderly and the lonely.
Prayers for Al-Aqsa and Palestine
Çaplık also drew attention to the four blessed nights contained within the Three Sacred Months—Raghaib and Mi‘raj in Rajab, Bara’ah in Sha‘ban, and Laylat al-Qadr in Ramadan—describing them as a divine gift that should not be neglected.
He called on Muslims to pray for mercy upon the martyrs of Palestine, to supplicate for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to increase charitable aid during this period, noting that acts of charity are especially virtuous during these months.
Message to the Islamic World
Concluding his remarks, Çaplık extended congratulations to the Islamic world on the arrival of the Three Sacred Months. On behalf of the Prophet Lovers Foundation, he expressed hope that the Night of Raghaib would bring goodness, peace, and blessings to the Muslim world.
He also prayed for an end to suffering, saying he hoped that “the tears shed and the blood spilled” across the Islamic world would come to an end by the will of Allah. (ILKHA)
