Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohieddin Salem is scheduled to pay an official visit to Türkiye on 28-29 July 2026, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced in a press release on Monday.
The ministry confirmed that Salem will visit Türkiye as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Ankara and Khartoum. The two-day visit is expected to provide an opportunity for discussions on regional developments, political cooperation, and issues of mutual interest.
Türkiye and Sudan have maintained close diplomatic ties over the years, with cooperation spanning trade, humanitarian assistance, development projects, and regional security.
Although the Foreign Ministry did not disclose the detailed agenda of the visit, meetings between senior officials are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional and international developments.
