Türkiye's Foreign Ministry has announced that Syria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, will pay a working visit to Türkiye on Thursday.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said that Al-Shaibani is scheduled to visit Türkiye on 6 August 2026 for official talks.
"Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, will pay a working visit to Türkiye on 6 August 2026," the ministry's brief statement read.
The ministry did not provide further details regarding the agenda of the visit or the officials Al-Shaibani is expected to meet.
The visit comes as Türkiye and Syria continue diplomatic engagement on a range of regional issues, including bilateral relations, security cooperation, border developments, and efforts aimed at promoting regional stability. Observers are expected to closely follow the discussions and any statements issued following the meetings. (ILKHA)
