Three PKK members killed in northern Iraq operation

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) have neutralized three PKK members in northern Iraq as part of the ongoing Claw-Lock Operation, the Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday.
The ministry said in a statement that the PKK members were identified and targeted by the Turkish forces in their hideouts in the region.
"Our heroic soldiers continue to neutralize terrorists in their lairs. As a result of our decisive operations, three PKK terrorists identified in the Claw-Lock Operation region were neutralized by our Turkish Armed Forces. We are determined to eradicate terrorism at its source," the statement read.
The Claw-Lock Operation was launched on April 17, 2022, to prevent the PKK from re-establishing positions used to carry out cross-border armed attacks. The operation is being carried out in the Hakurk, Zap, Avasin-Basyan and Metina regions of northern Iraq, where the PKK has its main base. (ILKHA)
