Turkish Coast Guard rescues 19 migrants pushed back by Greek forces

Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued 19 irregular migrants, including one child, off the coast of Ayvacık district in Çanakkale on Tuesday.
The migrants, from Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Congo, Eritrea, Djibouti, Gambia, and Ethiopia, were found in lifeboats after being pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.
Following their rescue, the migrants were transferred to the Migrant Reception and Transfer Centre for processing. The operation underscores ongoing tensions in the region regarding migrant pushbacks.
