The Turkish Coast Guard Command rescued 40 irregular migrants, including 20 children, off the coast of İzmir.
In one incident, teams rescued 38 migrants, including 20 children, who were stranded in a rubber boat near the Karaburun district due to engine failure.
Separately, two migrants in a rubber boat were rescued off the coast of Çeşme. These individuals were reportedly pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.
All rescued migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. (ILKHA)
