HÜDA PAR has called on Türkiye’s political parties to urgently address and enact a proposed law targeting Israeli dual citizens implicated in acts of genocide.
The party emphasized the importance of this measure in holding perpetrators accountable and setting an international example of justice.
The proposed law, which seeks to identify and punish Israeli dual citizens involved in genocidal crimes and strip citizenship from those refusing to testify, was described as a necessary step to ensure accountability. “This proposal should be discussed in the General Assembly without further delay and enacted as soon as possible,” the statement urged.
HÜDA PAR drew attention to recent legal actions taken by Brazil and Chile as examples for Türkiye to follow. In Chile, 620 lawyers have filed a lawsuit against an Israeli soldier accused of crimes against humanity during the Gaza genocide, while Brazil has launched an investigation into a similar case. The party highlighted these initiatives as reminders of Türkiye’s responsibility to address crimes against humanity within its jurisdiction.
The statement also condemned the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, where the Israeli regime has violated international laws and humanitarian principles for over 467 days. HÜDA PAR criticized the silence of the international community and Islamic nations in the face of these crimes, urging immediate and concrete action.
“The genocide in Gaza demands more than words—it requires actions. Concrete and deterrent steps must be taken to show the Israeli terrorist regime that such crimes will not go unpunished,” the statement read.
HÜDA PAR reaffirmed its commitment to fighting for justice, urging Parliament to unite in addressing the issue. “We appeal to all political parties and MPs in the Parliament: let us work together to ensure that the crime of genocide does not go unpunished,” the statement said.
HÜDA PAR also criticized the Israeli regime’s broader agenda of occupation and regional dominance. It highlighted recent Israeli actions, such as sharing maps that include Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria within its so-called “historical borders,” and the collaboration between Israeli and UAE officials, as evidence of its expansionist ambitions.
The party decried the dire conditions in Gaza, where civilians are being burned alive in so-called “safe zones” and are forced to survive on minimal resources. “The Islamic world’s silence will come at a cost, as the Israeli terrorist regime’s influence spreads throughout the region,” the statement warned.
The statement also raised concerns about the incoming US administration’s potential to embolden Israeli aggression. Referencing former President Donald Trump’s comments about escalating pressure in the Middle East, HÜDA PAR noted that these remarks provide Israel with an opportunity to further its plans under the guise of stalled ceasefire negotiations.
“The Muslim public opinion must keep Gaza on the agenda and hold rulers accountable for their cooperation with the Zionist regime. Without concrete actions, the Israeli terrorist regime will continue its occupation and attacks with increased intensity,” the statement emphasized.
HÜDA PAR’s call reflects a broader demand for accountability and justice, urging Türkiye and the global community to act decisively against Israeli crimes and expansionist policies. (ILKHA)
