Turkish Foreign Minister to attend G20 meeting in Johannesburg

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 20-21 February 2025, under the South African G20 Presidency.
On the sidelines of the G20 gathering, Minister Fidan will also take part in the 27th MIKTA (Mexico, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Türkiye, Australia) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, according to a press release the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting serves as a key platform for discussing global geopolitical, economic, and diplomatic challenges, while the MIKTA meeting provides an opportunity for enhanced cooperation among middle-power nations.
