Vice President Yılmaz meets World Bank officials
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met outgoing World Bank Country Director for Türkiye Humberto Lopez and newly appointed Country Director Jean-Christophe Carret in Ankara to discuss ongoing cooperation and development priorities.
Cooperation in infrastructure and development projects topped the agenda during the meeting held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where the two sides exchanged views on Türkiye's strategic position and future investment opportunities.
Yılmaz said discussions covered Türkiye's connectivity, energy, transport and digital corridors, as well as the country's development potential.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing and planned cooperation in key areas, including food security, social housing, logistics and energy.
Yılmaz thanked Lopez for his contributions during his tenure and wished Carret success in his new role as the World Bank's Country Director for Türkiye. (ILKHA)
