7.4 magnitude earthquake strikes south of Argentina

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 219 kilometers (136 miles) south of Argentina on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake occurred at 9:58 a.m. local time (12:58 GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometers, the agency’s initial assessment revealed.
At present, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage, and authorities have not issued any tsunami warnings.
