Afghan ambassador meets Polish special envoy in Doha to discuss bilateral ties
The Ambassador of Afghanistan, Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, met with Witold Sobków, Poland’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, in the Qatari capital Doha, according to a statement issued by the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The embassy said the meeting addressed a range of key issues, with a focus on strengthening bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Poland. Discussions also covered the provision of consular services for Afghan citizens residing in Poland, as well as the current political situation in Afghanistan.
Humanitarian assistance provided by Poland to Afghanistan was another central topic, alongside other areas of mutual interest. Both sides reportedly exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation and maintain dialogue on matters of shared concern.
The talks form part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at addressing practical issues affecting Afghan nationals abroad and exploring avenues for continued humanitarian support, amid Afghanistan’s evolving political and economic circumstances. (ILKHA)
