Afghan Foreign Minister visits site for new embassy in Moscow
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, on Thursday inspected the plot of land designated for the construction of Afghanistan’s new embassy in the Russian capital.
Accompanied by Mawlavi Gul Hassan Hassan, Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Moscow, Muttaqi visited the 1.68-hectare site allocated by the General Directorate of Diplomatic Services of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The land is located in one of Moscow’s most strategic and prominent areas.
According to the plan, the embassy building and supporting facilities will be constructed on the site to provide the necessary infrastructure for the mission’s administrative, consular, and cultural activities.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen Afghanistan’s diplomatic presence in Russia. (ILKHA)
