Al-Houthi condemns Israeli strike on Sana’a Airport, vows continued support for Palestine
The leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, has condemned a recent Israeli airstrike on Sana’a International Airport, describing it as part of a broader effort to pressure Yemen and undermine its support for the Palestinian cause.
In a televised speech, Al-Houthi asserted that the aggression reflects Israel’s growing desperation in the face of regional resistance, noting that the strike may have been intended to disrupt the travel of Yemeni pilgrims and further isolate Gaza by weakening Arab and Muslim solidarity. “This attack is not just military—it’s a political message aimed at punishing Yemen for standing firmly with the oppressed people of Palestine,” he said.
He described the Israeli regime as "weak and shaken," especially after what he called the failure of American-led aggression in the region. Al-Houthi underscored that the Zionist enemy's goal has always been to isolate the Palestinian struggle and silence voices of support, particularly from nations like Yemen that have taken a principled, faith-driven stance in defense of Palestine.
“No matter how frequent or intense the aggression becomes, it will not shake the Yemeni people’s position. Supporting Palestine is not a political calculation—it is a deep-rooted religious and moral obligation,” Al-Houthi declared.
He further warned that Israel’s ongoing crimes in Gaza, where thousands of civilians have been killed in recent months, will only push Yemen to strengthen its military and political stance. “We are moving toward a stronger and more active position alongside the Palestinian people, who are enduring unimaginable suffering under occupation and bombardment,” he stated.
The Israeli attack on Sana’a’s civilian airport is the latest in a series of provocations targeting Yemen’s infrastructure. However, rather than weakening Yemen's resolve, such acts are galvanizing public unity and reinforcing the nation's role within the broader axis of resistance against occupation and foreign domination.
Yemen, long defiant in the face of external aggression and blockade, continues to assert its right to support just causes and resist imperialist agendas. As Al-Houthi made clear, the Yemeni people will not be intimidated—they remain committed to standing with Palestine, regardless of the cost. (ILKHA)
