Al-Qassam Brigades release footage of ambushes targeting Israeli occupation forces
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, released new footage on Wednesday showing what it said were a series of coordinated ambushes targeting Israeli occupation forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
According to the group, the operations were carried out by fighters from the Al-Radwan Battalion, part of the Gaza Brigade, and featured the participation of Palestinian fighter Rubin Youssef Al-Nono, who was later killed and is honored by the movement as a martyr.
The video, circulated through Al-Qassam's official media channels, reportedly depicts resistance fighters preparing and executing attacks against Israeli military units during ongoing ground operations in Gaza. The footage also pays tribute to Al-Nono, highlighting his role in the operations before his death.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said the ambushes formed part of the Palestinian resistance's continued efforts to confront Israeli military incursions into the besieged enclave.
The release comes as fierce fighting continues across several areas of Gaza, where Palestinian resistance factions say they are employing guerrilla tactics, including ambushes, improvised explosive devices, and anti-armor attacks against advancing Israeli forces.
The Israeli military has not immediately commented on the footage or the specific claims made by the Al-Qassam Brigades.
The publication of combat footage has become a recurring feature of the conflict, with Palestinian resistance groups regularly releasing videos they say document attacks on Israeli occupation forces, while Israel continues its military campaign across the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing war has resulted in widespread destruction and a mounting humanitarian crisis, with Palestinian health authorities reporting tens of thousands of casualties since Israel launched its offensive in October 2023. The conflict continues to draw international concern as calls grow for an end to the violence and greater protection for civilians. (ILKHA)
