Al-Quds International: Record 2,258 settlers storm Al-Aqsa in unprecedented incursion

Al-Quds International Foundation announced on Thursday that 2,258 Zionist settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in a single day—marking the largest incursion into the sacred site since the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem began in 1967.
In a statement, the foundation declared that "Al-Aqsa Mosque has entered a phase of complete desecration," urging the Islamic Ummah to take immediate and decisive action in defense of one of Islam’s holiest sites.
The foundation held Jordan and official Arab regimes responsible, demanding they move beyond verbal condemnations and adopt meaningful protective measures. "Otherwise, we risk witnessing a second loss of Al-Aqsa, after its identity has already been undermined," the statement warned.
Al-Quds International emphasized that the status quo at Al-Aqsa has been systematically dismantled. Once a sanctuary open to Muslims for prayer and reflection, the mosque is now “a space of daily incursions by settlers and a siege zone for Muslims.” The group criticized the growing control of the Israeli occupation police, noting the marginalization of the Jordanian Waqf’s authority.
The foundation also condemned the increasing use of Al-Aqsa for Jewish biblical rituals, particularly under the protection of occupation forces. In the lead-up to Ramadan, Israel reportedly tightened restrictions on Waqf staff, installed new metal barriers, and expanded the surveillance network—deepening the militarized grip on the mosque.
“What happened today,” the statement continued, “will embolden Zionist settlers and Temple Mount organizations to escalate their provocative raids and religious ceremonies.”
The foundation called on the Muslim world to prepare for further escalations, specifically warning about two upcoming dates—May 26, marking the anniversary of the Israeli occupation of West Jerusalem, and August 3, the date Zionist extremists commemorate the so-called “destruction of the Temple.”
The statement concluded with a resounding appeal for collective Islamic mobilization to protect Al-Aqsa from continued desecration and Judaization efforts. (ILKHA)
