Anadolu Agency cameraman martyred in israeli airstrikes on Gaza
Montaser Al-Sawaf, a freelance cameraman working for Anadolu Agency, lost his life during Israeli airstrikes in Gaza on Friday.
The airstrikes were newly resumed after a one-week pause in the israeli aggression on Palestinian civilians on Gaza.
Hassan Ismameh, the journalist's cousin, reported that Al-Sawaf, along with his brother Mervan and other family members, was martyred during israeli airstrikes in the Ed-Durc neighborhood of southern Gaza.
After sustaining serious injuries in the bombing, Al-Sawaf reportedly had to wait for an ambulance for approximately half an hour. Eventually, no medical teams arrived, and he was transported to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital by private vehicle.
Al-Sawaf, his brother, and other relatives who fell victim to the israeli attack were laid to rest in the al-Batsh cemetery in the city.
The incident underscores the dangers faced by journalists and media personnel covering conflicts, with the impact extending beyond combatants to civilians and those reporting on the ground.
The international community continues to express concerns over the ongoing israeli aggression and its toll on innocent lives in the region. (ILKHA)
