Four Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis
At least four Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Monday following Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza City and Khan Younis, according to local medical sources.
Among the fatalities, Mahmoud Wael al-Rifi was killed by artillery shelling in the Shuja’iyya area near the Green Line, in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
In a separate attack, Alaa Mazen Abu Rida was killed by a drone strike in the Armida area east of Khan Younis, which also left two others injured. Additionally, Ahmed Abdel Rahim Sahmoud succumbed to wounds he sustained from an Israeli drone strike inside the Green Line in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis.
Local sorces reported that Israeli forces continue artillery shelling in southern Gaza and are detonating explosive-laden vehicles in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, in what is seen as ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement. Israeli tanks and helicopters also reportedly opened fire northeast of Rafah while carrying out airstrikes.
Since the ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2025, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 340, with more than 871 injured and 574 bodies recovered, highlighting continued instability and civilian suffering in the region.
The escalating violence has raised concerns about the fragility of the ceasefire and the humanitarian situation in Gaza, as international observers continue to call for renewed dialogue and strict adherence to agreed terms. (ILKHA)
