Gaza bleeds: Israel's genocidal war claims more lives in Deir el-Balah and Jabalia

At least three Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Sunday as Israeli warplanes launched a new wave of airstrikes targeting residential areas in both central and northern Gaza, according to medical sources and eyewitness reports.
In Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, an Israeli airstrike struck a civilian building in the city center, killing three people and wounding several more. Emergency and civil defense teams quickly responded to the scene to evacuate the casualties, despite the persistent danger posed by ongoing bombardments.
In a separate incident, Israeli fighter jets bombed a residential home in the Al-Jurn neighborhood of Jabalia, in the northern part of the besieged enclave. Local sources reported several injuries among civilians as a result of the attack.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the death toll from Israel’s military campaign since October 2023 has now reached 50,904, with more than 116,156 others injured. The majority of the victims are reported to be women and children.
Health officials and rescue workers continue to warn of a dire humanitarian catastrophe, as many victims remain trapped under rubble or lie on roadsides inaccessible to first responders due to continuous targeting of ambulance and civil defense crews by Israeli forces.
Despite growing international pressure, including UN Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire, and legally binding International Court of Justice (ICJ) directives to prevent acts of genocide and facilitate humanitarian aid, Israel's military operations show no signs of abating.
Observers say the situation in Gaza has reached a critical point, with widespread devastation, displacement, and a collapsing healthcare system exacerbating the suffering of more than two million Palestinians living under siege. (ILKHA)
